SafePACS supports uploading PDF documents of up to 5 MB in size per file to your studies. The PDF files will be encapsulated into a DICOM file and will be viewable, along with the study, in the viewer.
When viewing the Studies Table for a given case, you will notice a new column, which indicates whether documents have previously been uploaded for a particular study.
Clicking on an arrow in the far left column of the table, next to a study, will reveal a sub-table that will show what documents have been uploaded for that study.
To upload documents to a study:
1. Click the "Upload File" button
2. Click the "Browse for a File to Upload" button and select a file from its location on your computer, such as your hard drive or a CD.
3. After selecting the file, click the "Upload File" button to begin the upload process. After the upload is completed, you will see a preview of the document in the window on the right.
4. Before saving the upload you may enter a description for the document.
5. Click Save. You will see the following message. You may click the "Start a New Upload" button if you wish to upload another document for the current study.
6. When you are done uploading files for this study, click the "Close File Uploader" button to return to the Studies Table.
7. After 1-2 minutes you will see the following message above the Studies Table in green. Click on "here" to refresh the table.
8. Click the arrow in the left most column again to reveal the documents you just uploaded. If you want to delete a document, click the "x" in the Options column on the right side of the sub-table.
